Abstract
This study aimed to quantitatively and comprehensively analyze the research trends related to dementia lifestyle education and interventions using bibliometric analysis. The study analyzed publication trends by year and research field using the Web of Science database.
Visualization maps based on network data were created using VOSviewer software. A total of 1,671 papers were retrieved from 1992 to August 2023, and there was a growing trend in the annual publication count. The primary research on this topic was most actively carried out in Neuroscience and Geriatrics Gerontology, with the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease publishing the highest number of articles. An analysis of countries, institutions, and authors showed that the United States was the most active and influential country in research. However, the primary research institutes and authors were distributed in Finland and Sweden. The top five keywords were risk(341 times), older adults(288 times), mild cognitive impairment(288 times), prevention(278 times), and physical activity(253 times). The top 100 keywords were classified into four clusters: ¡®Cognitive impairment and decline¡¯, ¡®Risk and health¡¯, ¡®Older adults and physical activity¡¯, and ¡®Mild cognitive impairment and prevention¡¯. This study highlights the importance of educating people about dementia risk factors and promoting a lifestyle focused on prevention. These findings will assist in planning appropriate education and interventions.
